My name is David Golden. I graduated from Western Governors University with with a M.A. in Middle School Mathematics. I also graduated from Francis Marion University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Before that, I attended high school at Covenant Christian School, Columbia, SC. I was fortunate and blessed to be adopted by grandparents who gave me the best childhood anyone could ask for. While in grade school, I played and fell in love with the game of basketball. I achieved many awards during my basketball career. After realizing that high school was the plateau for my playing career, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher and coach basketball for a living.
My faith and relationship with Jesus is the most important thing to me. I strive to be more like Him everyday.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Sarah. She is one of my biggest supports and encourages me to be more like Christ everyday.
Basketball has greatly impacted my life and has taught me many things. It not only grew me as an athlete but also as a person. Teamwork, discipline, and dedication are just some of the few things basketball taught me. It is my goal to impact the lives of student athletes the same way it impacted me. I want my students athletes to become people of integrity while competing every moment they can. I am a basketball junkie. I am constantly studying the game and evolving as a coach. I am committed and ready to impact students in a positive manner, both on and off the court.
